Huntington disease

A progressive neurodegenerative genetic disorder that affects muscle coordination and leads to cognitive decline and psychiatric problems. It is caused by an inherited defect in a single gene, resulting in the production of an abnormal huntingtin protein. Symptoms typically appear in middle age and worsen over time.
