Hydronephrosis

The swelling of a kidney due to a backup of urine, caused by an obstruction in the urinary tract. This condition can affect one or both kidneys and may lead to kidney damage if left untreated. Common causes include kidney stones, tumors, or congenital abnormalities of the urinary system.
