Albuminuria
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000366
The presence of an abnormally high concentration of albumin, a type of protein, in the urine. This condition indicates damage to the kidneys' filtering units, allowing proteins that should be retained in the blood to pass into the urine. It is a common sign of kidney disease and can be detected through a simple urine test.
