Microalbuminuria
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007303
The presence of abnormally small amounts of albumin in the urine, indicating early kidney damage. This condition is detected when albumin excretion rates exceed normal levels but are below the threshold for overt proteinuria. It serves as an early marker for diabetic nephropathy and other renal diseases, with a typical range of 30 to 300 mg of albumin per 24 hours.
