Ileocecal

Relating to the ileum and the cecum, specifically referring to the junction between these two parts of the digestive tract. The ileocecal valve, located at this junction, regulates the passage of digested food from the small intestine into the large intestine. This valve prevents the backflow of colonic contents into the ileum.
