Long period
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006762
The characteristic distance between lamellae or crystalline regions in a semicrystalline polymer, as observed by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). This periodicity arises from the alternating arrangement of crystalline and amorphous layers within the polymer morphology. The long period is typically in the range of 5 to 50 nanometers and is influenced by crystallization conditions.
