Megadactyly

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007143

A congenital condition characterized by the abnormal enlargement of one or more digits, including both fingers and toes. This overgrowth affects all tissues within the digit, such as bone, soft tissue, nerves, and skin, resulting in a digit that is disproportionately large compared to the others. The condition, also known as macrodactyly, is a rare, non-hereditary birth defect that is present at birth but may become more pronounced as the child grows.
