Digit symbol substitution test

A neuropsychological test that assesses cognitive functions such as processing speed, attention, and working memory. Individuals are presented with a key pairing digits with specific symbols, and then must transcribe the correct symbol under a sequence of digits within a time limit. Performance is measured by the number of correct symbol substitutions made.
