Brain

The central organ of the nervous system in vertebrates, located in the head and protected by the skull. It is responsible for controlling all bodily functions, processing sensory information, and enabling thought, emotion, memory, and consciousness. The human brain weighs approximately 1.4 kilograms and consists of billions of neurons and glial cells.
