Syndactyly

A congenital anomaly characterized by the fusion of two or more digits, either fingers or toes. This condition can involve soft tissue fusion (cutaneous syndactyly) or bone fusion (osseous syndactyly). It results from a failure of the embryonic tissues between the digits to separate during development, typically occurring between the sixth and eighth weeks of gestation.
