Migrainous infarction

A type of ischemic stroke that occurs during a migraine attack with aura, where neurological symptoms persist for more than 60 minutes and neuroimaging confirms an infarct in the relevant brain area. This diagnosis is made when other causes of stroke have been excluded. It is a rare complication of migraine, particularly associated with migraine with aura.
