Murine
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007700
Relating to or derived from mice or rats, often used in the context of experimental models in toxicology and pharmacology. Murine models are frequently employed to study disease mechanisms, test drug efficacy, and assess the toxicity of chemical compounds due to their genetic similarity to humans and ease of handling. The term encompasses both mice (Mus musculus) and rats (Rattus norvegicus).
