Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008208

A murine monoclonal antibody that targets the CD3 receptor complex on the surface of human T-lymphocytes, inducing their rapid removal from circulation. This T-cell depletion results in potent immunosuppression. OKT3 was the first monoclonal antibody approved for therapeutic use in humans, primarily for reversing acute rejection of solid organ transplants, such as kidneys.
