Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008209
An organic light-emitting diode, a solid-state device that emits light when an electric current passes through a thin film of organic material. The organic layer is situated between two electrodes, at least one of which is transparent. This technology is widely used in displays for electronic devices and in lighting applications.
