Electroluminescent polymer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003690

A macromolecule that emits light when an electric current passes through it. This phenomenon, known as electroluminescence, occurs when injected charge carriers recombine within the polymer, releasing energy as photons. These polymers are used in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), where they form the active emissive layer.
