Photoluminescent polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008889
A polymeric material that emits light after absorbing electromagnetic radiation, typically in the ultraviolet or visible spectrum. The absorbed energy excites electrons to higher energy states, and light is emitted as they return to lower energy states. This property is exploited in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and fluorescent sensors.
