Immunosuppressant

A substance or agent that inhibits or reduces the activity of the immune system. These compounds are used medically to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs, treat autoimmune diseases, or manage certain inflammatory conditions. They function by interfering with the proliferation or function of immune cells, such as T-lymphocytes.
