Immunoactivation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013182
The process by which components of the immune system are stimulated to increase their activity or proliferation. This can involve the activation of specific immune cells, such as lymphocytes or phagocytes, or the production of signaling molecules like cytokines. Immunoactivation is a natural response to infection but can also be induced by certain drugs or environmental exposures.
