Chronic rejection

A slow, progressive form of immune-mediated damage to a transplanted organ that occurs months or years after transplantation. This process involves a complex interplay of immune cells and antibodies, leading to fibrosis and scarring within the graft. It is a major cause of long-term graft failure in organ transplant recipients.
