Monoclonal
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007540
Relating to a population of cells or molecules that are all derived from a single ancestral cell or molecule, respectively. In immunology, monoclonal antibodies are produced by identical immune cells that are clones of a unique parent cell, all binding to the same specific epitope. These antibodies are widely used in diagnostic tests and therapeutic applications due to their high specificity.
