Oligoclonal

Describing a population of cells, such as lymphocytes, or antibodies that originate from a limited number of distinct clones. This indicates a restricted immune response, often seen in chronic inflammatory conditions or certain infections. Oligoclonal bands in cerebrospinal fluid are a diagnostic marker for multiple sclerosis.
