Oligodontia

A congenital condition characterized by the developmental absence of six or more teeth, excluding the third molars. This condition results from the failure of tooth germs to form during embryonic development. Oligodontia is distinct from anodontia, which is the complete absence of teeth, and hypodontia, which involves the absence of one to five teeth.
