Oligodendroglioma
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008218
A type of primary brain tumor that originates from oligodendrocytes, the glial cells responsible for producing myelin in the central nervous system. These tumors are characterized by their relatively slow growth and a tendency to occur in the cerebral hemispheres. Histologically, they often exhibit a characteristic 'fried egg' appearance of the tumor cells.
