Astrocytoma

A type of brain tumor that originates from astrocytes, which are glial cells that support neurons in the brain and spinal cord. These tumors can vary in aggressiveness, ranging from slow-growing to highly malignant forms. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies astrocytomas into four grades based on their malignancy.
