Passive sampler

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008534

A device used for environmental monitoring that collects airborne or waterborne contaminants by diffusion or permeation, without the need for active pumping. These samplers rely on the concentration gradient between the ambient environment and the sampler's collection medium. They provide a time-weighted average concentration over the deployment period.
