Propagule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009545
Any material or structure that can be dispersed to give rise to a new organism, serving as an agent of reproduction. In ecotoxicology, this includes seeds, spores, buds, or other vegetative parts of plants, as well as the larvae or eggs of animals. The viability and dispersal of propagules are key parameters for assessing the impact of toxicants on population dynamics and ecosystem recovery.
