Replicate sample
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010195
Two or more samples taken from the same material under comparable conditions, for instance units adjacent in time or space. They are supposed to be identical, though often the only thing truly repeated is the physical act of taking the sample. They are used to estimate sample variability, and a duplicate sample is the case of exactly two portions.
