Sexual reproduction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010791

A biological process that involves the fusion of gametes, typically from two parents, to produce offspring that are genetically distinct from either parent. This process combines genetic material from both individuals, leading to genetic recombination. In humans, this involves the fertilization of an ovum by a sperm.
