Stable radical
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011271
A free radical species that exhibits a significantly longer lifetime compared to typical transient radicals, often due to steric hindrance or delocalization of the unpaired electron. These radicals can exist in relatively high concentrations without readily undergoing self-termination reactions. They are frequently employed as mediating agents in controlled radical polymerization techniques.
