Symmorphic space group
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011731
A space group that contains no screw axes and no glide planes, so that its operations are built from a crystallographic point group about a common origin together with the lattice translations. The lattice may be centred, as in the face-centred cubic group Fm-3m. Of the 230 three-dimensional space groups, 73 are symmorphic.
