Syndrome

A collection of signs and symptoms that occur together and characterize a particular disease or abnormal condition. The presence of these specific features allows for the recognition and diagnosis of the underlying medical state. Many syndromes have a known genetic basis, while others may result from environmental factors or a combination of both.
