Unconscious

A state of being unaware of one's surroundings, thoughts, or feelings, often due to injury, illness, or the effects of drugs. In this state, an individual is unresponsive to external stimuli and lacks voluntary movement. It differs from sleep in that the person cannot be easily awakened.
