Stimuli-responsive polymer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013595

A macromolecule that undergoes a reversible or irreversible change in its chemical or physical properties in response to an external stimulus. These changes can include alterations in solubility, shape, or self-assembly behavior. Common stimuli include temperature, pH, light, electric or magnetic fields, and specific chemical species.
