Workstation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012726
A programmable device that automates a single operation on microplates, such as liquid handling, with the plates delivered to it by a robot such as a stacker system or robotic manipulator. Several workstations, for example a dispenser and a plate reader, are linked by the robot to form an automated screening system. It is therefore one module in that system, not a combined instrument itself.
