Active braking time

The duration from the moment a vehicle's braking system begins to apply force to the wheels until the vehicle comes to a complete stop or the braking force is released. This period excludes any reaction time of the driver or system latency before brake engagement. It is a key parameter in evaluating vehicle safety and performance, measured in seconds.
