Brakeforce

The decelerating force applied to a vehicle by its braking system, which opposes its motion and brings it to a stop. This force is generated by friction between the brake pads and rotors or drums. Brakeforce is directly proportional to the pressure applied to the brake pedal and the coefficient of friction of the brake materials.
