Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000473
A unit of measurement for symbol rate, indicating the number of distinct symbol changes or signal events occurring per second in a transmission medium. It represents the rate at which the signal's state changes. In simple modulation schemes, baud rate can be equal to bit rate, but in complex schemes, bit rate is higher.
