Buncher
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000847
A machine used in wire and cable manufacturing to twist multiple individual strands of wire together into a single, flexible conductor. The strands are fed from separate spools through a guiding die and then twisted by a rotating flyer or bow. Bunchers are distinct from stranders, which arrange wires in precise geometric layers, whereas a bunched conductor has no defined lay pattern.
