Cat 5

Category 5, a type of twisted-pair cable used for computer networks, primarily for Ethernet connections. It supports data transfer speeds up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps) over distances up to 100 meters. This cable standard was largely superseded by Cat 5e and Cat 6 for higher bandwidth applications.
