Efflorescence

A crystalline deposit of salts that appears on the surface of masonry, concrete, or stucco, forming a white, powdery residue. This occurs when water containing soluble salts evaporates from the material, leaving the salts behind. It can indicate moisture intrusion and may require cleaning or sealing of the affected surface.
