Enrichener
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002044
A device in a carburetor that temporarily provides a richer air-fuel mixture to aid in starting a cold engine. Unlike a choke, which restricts air intake, an enrichener adds extra fuel through a separate circuit. This system is common on small engines, such as those for motorcycles and outdoor power equipment, and is activated by a lever or button.
