First-order hold
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002300
A method used in digital-to-analog conversion to reconstruct a continuous-time signal from discrete-time samples. It approximates the signal between samples by drawing a straight line from the current sample value to the next sample value. This technique provides a smoother output than a zero-order hold, which maintains a constant value between samples.
