A type of industrial boiler characterized by a horizontal cylindrical shell containing water, with fire tubes passing through it to transfer heat from combustion gases. In a Horizontal Return Tubular (HRT) boiler, hot gases pass from the combustion chamber underneath the shell to the rear, then return to the front through the tubes before exiting. These boilers were widely used for steam generation in factories and power plants.
