Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002932
An undesirable oscillation of a system around its equilibrium point, often observed in control systems or rotating machinery. This phenomenon occurs when a system overshoots its target, corrects, and then overshoots in the opposite direction repeatedly. Hunting can lead to instability, increased wear, and reduced efficiency in electrical motors or generators.
