In-plane switching

A technology used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs) where the liquid crystal molecules rotate parallel to the display panel. This orientation provides wider viewing angles and better color reproduction compared to older twisted nematic (TN) panels. IPS panels are commonly found in high-end monitors and televisions.
