Lance

A long, hollow tube used in metallurgical processes to introduce gases, powders, or other materials into molten metal baths. It allows for precise delivery of reagents to specific areas within the melt, facilitating chemical reactions or temperature control. Oxygen lances are commonly used in basic oxygen furnaces for decarburization.
