Lapillistone

A type of pyroclastic rock composed predominantly of lapilli, which are volcanic fragments ranging in size from 2 to 64 millimeters. These fragments are ejected during explosive volcanic eruptions and then consolidate. Lapillistone is a common component of volcanic successions and can indicate explosive eruptive styles.
