Misclock
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007108
A condition in a digital system where a timing signal fails to synchronize correctly between different components or nodes. This desynchronization leads to data transmission errors, incorrect operation sequencing, or system instability because data packets are not sent or received at the expected intervals. Misclock events in telecommunications networks are detected by monitoring phase differences or frequency deviations, triggering alarms when they exceed standards like those set by the ITU-T.
