Negative Differential Resistance, a characteristic observed in certain electronic components where an increase in voltage across the device leads to a decrease in current. This phenomenon is exploited in oscillators, amplifiers, and switching circuits. Tunnel diodes and Gunn diodes are examples of devices exhibiting NDR.
