Zener diode
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006723
A type of semiconductor diode designed to reliably allow current to flow in the reverse direction when a specific reverse voltage, known as the Zener voltage, is reached. This characteristic makes it suitable for voltage regulation and overvoltage protection circuits. Zener diodes are specified by their Zener voltage and power dissipation ratings.
